Celebrating 27 years of the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame, five individuals and one team represented the Class of 2026 at the Hall of Fame festivities held Saturday, February 7, in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.
Casey Eckstein was an indispensable member of the 1997 and 1998 National Championship Cowley College baseball teams. He was the starting catcher for both years of his Cowley career and was named to the 1998 JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team. During Eckstein’s tenure, Cowley captured two conference championships, two regional championships, and two national championships. The invaluable member of the Tiger baseball teams will be inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame on February 7.
Regarded as one of the top doubles players ever to play tennis at Cowley College, Dean Clower will be recognized for his accomplishments by being named to the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame on February 7, 2025.
After a tremendous two-year career as a pitcher at Cowley College, Jessica Seay will be inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame on February 7, 2026.
Having finished as the national runner-up in 2005 and 2009, the Cowley College volleyball team left no doubt as to who the best team in the nation was in 2011 as they defeated Oakland (MI) Community College 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 in the title match of the NJCAA Division II National Volleyball Tournament played in Toledo, OH.
Montia (Johnson) Storey had a decorated career at Cowley College, becoming just the eighth player in the women's basketball program's history to receive NJCAA All-American recognition. The women’s basketball standout will be recognized for her accomplishments by being inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 7.
Peg Williams was born and raised in Ark City and graduated from Arkansas City High School. She went on to attend Arkansas City Junior College (now Cowley College) from 1965 to 1967, graduating in May. 1967 with an AA degree. Her love for Cowley College and the Arkansas City community has never wavered, and now the life-long Tiger fan will be among several of the student-athletes she has helped along the way when she gets inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame on February 7, 2026.
With more than 400 student-athletes posting a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, the Cowley College athletic department had a combined 3.23 GPA in the fall semester.

Providing the community an opportunity to meet with players and coaches of the Cowley College athletic programs, the annual Tiger Tailgate was held on Tuesday outside of W.S. Scott Auditorium.
Raising money for Tiger Booster Club Scholarships and to support Cowley College athletic programs, Cowley College coaches, employees, and members of the community took to the streets for the school's annual Blitz Drive on Tuesday, July 29, and eclipsed $77,225 in pledges with additional funds still trickling in. The Tiger Booster Club is optimistic about surpassing $80,000 in donations.
